Our Accomplishments
True North Senior Women compete in the Senior A division. We train together three times a week in the summer and twice a week together in the winter.
Achievements:
- 2023 Canadian National Dragon Boat Championships: 1 st – Senior A Women Gold
- 2022 IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Sarasota, Florida - Gold medalists in all distances! (200m, 500m, and 2000m)
- 2019 Canadian National Championship - 3rd place finish
- 2015 Canadian National Championship - 2nd place finish
- 2014 Canadian National Championship – 1st, sweeping all distances!
- 2014 Club Crew World Championship, Ravenna, Italy - 1st place, 3 gold medals, sweeping all distances
- 2010 Canadian National Championships - 2nd
- 2013 Canadian National Championships (Victoria B.C.): 1st place finish
- 2012 Club Crew World Championships (Hong Kong, Japan): 1 silver, 1 bronze, and a 4th place
- 2011 CCWCs at National Championships (Welland Ontario): 3rd place (2000m)
- 2010 Club Crew World Championship (Macau, China): 3 bronze medals
- 2008 Crew Club World Championship (Penang, Malaysia): 1 gold medal (2000m) and bronze medals in 500m and 200m
- 2007 World Dragon Boat Championship (Sydney, Australia): 3 gold medals
- 2006 Club Crew World Championship (Toronto): 2 silvers, 1 bronze, and a 5th place
We continue to welcome and help women develop their fitness, paddling skill, and sense of team. Currently, we have women whose experience varies from two years to twenty, with some having competed with the Senior A National Team level 6 times. We have paddlers that bike to practice, and those that travel over 100km each way. Our commitment to the team and each other is phenomenal!
